SHEATHER FAMILY

Children of William Sheather and Martha (surname unknown) of Ticehurst Sussex.

John baptised 12 February, 1766 at Ninfield married April fools day 1793 Ruth CRAMP.

Eighth child was Mary Sheather born 1776 and married 1793/97 William CRAMP born 1765 (refer to CRAMP line).

William Sheather born 1763 married 27 August, 1788 at Peasemarsh Elizabeth COOK born c1767.  William died 29 May 1839 and Elizabeth died 30 May, 1830 both at Udimore SSX.

Eleventh child George Sheather born 1782.

James Sheather

James born 24 May, 1793 married (1) 7 October, 1818 Celia WILSON and two children John Henry born 14 February, 1819 and James born 1821/2.  Celia died in 1820.

James married (2) 25 February, 1824 in Beckley SSX, Mary MILHAM and both James, Mary and the two children emigrated to Australia with 10 children in 1839 aboard the Royal George.

Children:

Edward 1824, Augusta, Samuel, Spencer, William, George, Frederick, Mary Jane and Charles born and died in 1844).

James died 17 February, 1880 in Camden and Mary died in 1888 at Leichhardt NSW.

Mary MILHAM was the daughter of James MILHAM and Hester SARGENT.  Mary had a sister Hannah born 29 March, 1788 at Ewhurst SSX.

John Henry born 14 February, 1819 at Kent and who arrived in Australia with his father in 1839 married 22 February, 1845 at Narellan NSW Ann INGRAM.
