John Sanderson Gray and Emily Sims

John Sanderson Gray a labourer (ref 1692 Christchurch NZ) born 8 September, 1884 the second son of Robert Hamilton Gray and Agnes (Sanderson), married Emily Sims (Clarke) a tailoress on 26 October, 1911 at 101 Gore Street Fitzroy Vic.   Their usual residence was given as 22 Union Street Fitzroy Vic.

Emily Sims parents were John Clarke and Emily (Sims).

Children: John Sanderson (Jnr - Jack) 1912 and Reginald Sims 14 August, 1918 (died 1987), who married Georgina Frances (Fitzpatrick).

Children of Reginald Sims and Georgina Frances (Fitzpatrick):

Robert John born 23 September, 1942 who married 24 June, 1967 Linda Joy (Byron), their children were Narelle Carissa born 25 October, 1972 and Christie Joanne born 29 October, 1974

Barry Sims born 14 January, 1941 married January, 1966 Joan (Were) their children Darren and Stewart (twins) born November, 1966 and Samantha born 22 May, 1973.

John Sanderson Gray died on the Bank of River Yarra new Newport Power House on 27 September, 1942 of Coronary Obstruction and cardiac dilation.  His usual residence was 53 Bangalore Street, Kensington Vic and is buried at Footscray Cemetery.

Agnes Sanderson

Agnes Sanderson b c1847 Melrose, County of Selkirk & Roxborough, Scotland married Robert Hamilton Gray, a carpenter 5 July, 1867 at Berwick, Ladhope Scotland.

Agnes was the daughter of William Thomas Sanderson a weaver and Janet (Turnbull).

Agnes died 21 December, 1902 Oxford Terrace
